Competitive Cheer is a fun sport designed to have something for children of all ages and abilities. Athletes are placed on teams with athletes of similar age and ability, and compete against other teams. Competitive cheer does not involve any actual “Cheering” these days. Routines are performed to a set time of music and involve stunting, tumbling, jumps and dance. Our action-packed exciting routines get the blood pumping as much for the crowd as they do for the athletes on the mat.

Recreational Cheerleading
(Ages 5+)
Welcome to Recreational Cheerleading, where cheerleading meets fun and fitness! This class is designed to introduce students to the basics of competitive cheerleading, focusing on foundational skills and teamwork. This session based class is the perfect place to start for athletes looking to get into the cheer world.
This class is run in sessions and not eligible for the trial membership. These 5-12 weeks sessions run year-round.
Half Year Novice
(Ages 4-14)
Our half-year novice teams are perfect for athletes ages 4-14 years old who may play other sports or move to the area after school starts. Novice competes in one virtual competition and performs in one AKGHC showcase.
These half-year teams typically run November through May.
Full Season Novice
(Ages 4-12)
Novice teams are available for athletes ages 4-14 years old. This program is perfect for athletes who are brand new to the cheer world. Full season novice competes in once virtual competition and performs in two AKGHC showcases.
These are full season teams that run June through May.
Prep
(Ages 5-12)
Prep teams are available for athletes ages 5-12 years old who are ready for a traveling cheer team. This program is perfect for athletes who are new to cheer and are ready to compete. These teams will compete virtually twice and in-state (Anchorage) once.

Prep+
(Ages 6-14)
Prep+ teams are available for ages 6-14 years old. This program is designed for athletes who are ready for the commitment it takes to compete out of state. These teams are perfect for the athletes that are still working on gaining elite level 1 tumbling skills. Prep+ will compete virtually twice, in-state (Anchorage) once and out of state once.

Elite Cheer
(Ages 7-19)
Elite teams are available to athletes ages 7-19. This program is designed for experienced athletes who are ready to compete at the elite level. There are skill requirements for these teams. These teams will compete virtually several times, in-state (Anchorage) once and out of state twice.]

Worlds Teams
(Ages 9-19)
Worlds teams are available for athletes ages 9-19 years old. This program is designed for experienced athletes who are ready to commit significant time and effort to training and competition. There are skill requirements for these teams. They will compete virtually several times, in state (Anchorage) once, out of state twice, and attend The All Star World Championship in 2027.
These are full season teams that run June through May.
