Do you love working with children?
We are looking for outgoing applicants who are smart, punctual, and super organized. Applicants must have exceptional people skills, the ability to perform under pressure, love working with children, and the desire to build a career at AKGHC. Class and group management working with children is beneficial.

Experience is not necessary for many of our entry-level positions. We have an excellent training system for our employees that allows anyone with a passion for teaching to work at AKGHC.

We are currently taking applications for the following positions:

Tumbling Coach

All cheerleading coaches will work recreational cheer and tumbling classes while working at AKGHC. Experience is not required for this position but a background in cheerleading, gymnastics, or dance is preferred. Those who love working with children and share a passion for cheerleading are encouraged to apply for this position.

Dance Instructor

This position does require fundamental and technical experience in tap, ballet, jazz and hip hop. Contemporary and modern dance is preferred as well. Instructors will teach primarily preschool dancers and will assist in tumbling instruction. Dance teachers must have great energy and enjoy working with children of all ages and abilities.

Front Desk Staff

Must love interacting with parents, children and other staff members, be comfortable speaking on the phone, have good writing skills and be eager to learn. A great front desk member would have excellent customer service skills and be detail-oriented.

Camp Counselor

Must love teaching children, facilitating games and crafts, and maintaining a fun, clean and safe environment. The ideal counselor would be energetic, patient and creative.

Ninja Coach

Must have experience working with various ages and abilities. A great coach will be incredibly energetic and have a passion for fitness. Must also be excited to work with children, ages 3-12 and make a positive impact in their lives. Ninja coaches will occasionally work special events such as birthday parties, ninja nights and Nerf nights.

Cheerleading Coach

All cheerleading coaches will work recreational cheer and tumbling classes for a minimum of one year* prior to training on elite level cheerleading stunts and routine choreography. Those who love working with children and share a passion for cheerleading are encouraged to apply for this position.
*Prior experience can substitute 9 months of training

Custodian

Custodial positions are incredibly important to the safety and health of our athletes and families. Custodian hours are very flexible, but must be completed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Our custodians are responsible for cleaning the gym to include a large amount of vacuuming and sanitizing equipment and bathrooms as well as basic cleaning of office space. Custodial applicants must be able to pass a background check and enjoy working in a family-friendly environment.
